#powerball $50,000 WINNING POWERBALL TICKET SOLD IN DAVENPORT

A Quad-Cities man was just one number away from winning a record-breaking Powerball jackpot last month and ended up winning a $50,000 prize.

Rick Powell of Moline, Ill. matched four white balls and the Powerball in the Jan. 13 drawing to win a $50,000 prize.

Powell purchased his winning ticket at Kwik Shop, 303 W. Locust in Davenport. He claimed his prize Monday at the lottery's regional office in Cedar Rapids.
