NASHVILLE, TN - The incredible Aug. 23 Powerball drawing produced thousands of winning tickets across Tennessee, including five worth $200,000 and one worth $50,000.

One of the lucky $200,000 winners is Krishawn Nolan of Antioch, TN. A former Tennessee Lottery HOPE scholar, Krishawn is currently working on her master's degree in cyber security. "This is really going to help with school," said Krishawn, who was joined by her Mother when she received her prize and ceremonial check from Tennessee Lottery President and CEO Rebecca Hargrove.

Another lucky $200,000 winner, Michelle Fortune. A long-haul trucker, Michelle purchased her winning ticket at Travel Centers of America in Denmark, TN. Michelle waited two weeks before claiming her prize and when asked what took her so long she said "I had to finish my route before I could get back to Nashville!"

The Tennessee Lottery players who purchased the tickets noted above won by matching 4 of the 5 white numbers drawn plus the red Powerball number, which is a $50,000 base prize. Those who won $200,000 added the "Power Play" option for an extra dollar, multiplying their winnings by 4, which was the Power Play number drawn.
