#powerball New Mexico Player wins $50,000

Richard Martinez of Roswell won $50,000. His manual pick numbers were suggested via a text message from his son, who included his age and a friend's football number. His winning ticket matched the white ball numbers 8, 19, 27, 34 and the Powerball number 10.

Martinez purchased his winning ticket at Stripes No. 138 at 3800 S. Main Street in Roswell. He plans to use his winnings to pay bills and grant his youngest son's wish of helping the homeless.
