Charles Scott Jr. of Warwick claimed a $1 million PowerBall prize from the January 13th draw. His Quick Pick ticket matched all five numbers but not the PowerBall number to win $1,000,000. He explained that his wife called him to remind him "the big drawing is tonight," so he stopped at Conimicut Liquors, 1230 West Shore Rd., Warwick, and purchased the PowerBall ticket. The following day he happily assumed that he won $500, until his wife checked the ticket and told him to "come back home and sign this ticket, it's a million-dollar winner." He said he was in complete shock. He plans to use some of the money to purchase a new vehicle for himself and his wife.
