Sally Fogel of West Newton is the winner of a $2 million Powerball prize, having matched the first five winning numbers while playing the Power Play option in the multi-state game's drawing held Saturday, May 2, 2015.

Fogel claimed her $2 million prize (less taxes) at the Massachusetts State Lottery's Braintree headquarters on Monday, May 4. This is the third $2 million Powerball prize claimed in Massachusetts this year. She plans on using some of her winnings to support a non-profit group and intends to put the remainder away for retirement.

Fogel's winning combination of 02-06-11-30-31 represents a mix of birthdays and anniversary dates.

Her winning ticket was purchased at Value Gas & Repair, 979 Watertown St. in West Newton. The store will receive a $20,000 bonus for its sale.
