#powerball Stockbridge Powerball ticket worth $1M claimed

One of the three winning Powerball tickets worth $1 million from Wednesday's $448 million jackpot drawing was claimed Thursday.

The winner, Jennifer Pierce of McDonough, claimed her prize at Georgia Lottery headquarters in Atlanta.

She purchased her Quik Pik ticket at Conyers Food Mart, 1400 Old Conyers Road in Stockbridge.

A routine coffee stop at the store Thursday morning led to her surprising discovery when she received the printed results from the drawing.

"I couldn't believe it. I called my daughter," said Pierce, 53. "My daughter looked it up on the computer and said, 'It looks like $1 million!'"

Excited about her lottery win, the grandmother of three has no plans at the moment for her windfall.

"It hasn't sunk in yet," Pierce said.
