A Triad family is sharing the $1 million Powerball prize won by a ticket for the May 25 drawing. The winning ticket, purchased at the Quick N Easy on Burlington Road in Greensboro, North Carolina beat odds of 1 in 5.1 million to match all five white balls drawn.
The $1 million was divided among four members of the Murray family. Robert and Annie Murray, a couple from Greensboro, received $350,000 apiece, making their shares worth $238,000 each after taxes. Their daughter, Nichelle Murray of Burlington, and son, Rodney Murray of Greensboro, received $150,000 apiece, making their shares worth $102,000 each after taxes.
