TRENTON, NJ "“ The Mega Millions jackpot will reset to $12 million for the drawing to be held on Friday, July 25, but not before giving one lucky New Jerseyan a $126 million payday. The fortunate New Jersey winner has the only winning top-prize ticket in the nation for the July 22, 2008 Mega Millions drawing.

 

The top-prize winning Mega Millions ticket that was sold in New Jersey was purchased at AJ Seabra Supermarkets XII, located at 73-83 Wilson Avenue in the City of Newark, Essex County.

 

"Congratulations to AJ Seabra Supermarkets XII of Essex County," said Lottery Acting Executive Director William T. Jourdain. "For selling this top-prize Mega Millions ticket, they will receive a $10,000 bonus.  AJ Seabra Supermarkets XII has become one of the Lottery's most recent "lucky locations' overnight."

 

The winning numbers for the Tuesday, July 22 drawing were: 02, 16, 23, 29 and 32, and the Gold Mega Ball number was 46. 

 

In addition to the winning top-prize ticket, 106,048 other winners in New Jersey won a total of $525,030 in Tuesday night's drawing, including eight $10,000 winners.  The next Mega Millions drawing is Friday, July 25, at 11:00 pm on NJN-TV "“ the New Jersey Network.

 

Mega Millions member states include: New Jersey, California, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New York, Ohio, Texas, Virginia and Washington.
