#megamillions Ten Co-workers Split $216 Million Jackpot

The New Jersey Lottery today announced that a group of employees with Chubb Insurance in Whitehouse Station have come forth as the New Jersey winners of the $216 million jackpot from the MEGA MILLIONS drawing held on March 3, 2009.  The group arrived in the late afternoon on Friday at Lottery Headquarters to claim this one-of-a-kind jackpot, the second-largest solo ticket win in New Jersey.  New Jersey's newest millionaires chose the cash option, which means they will receive approximately $140 million before the 25% federal withholding tax.

William T. Jourdain, Acting Executive Director of the New Jersey Lottery, citing the group's desire to return to their regular daily lives at Chubb Insurance, issued the following statement for members of the media and the community:

"On Friday afternoon, Robert Space of Chubb Insurance and his nine co-workers arrived at our offices to begin the claiming and validations processes for their Mega Millions ticket from the March 3, 2009 drawing."

We are very pleased to announce that, after conducting the necessary verification and validation procedures that the Lottery takes with all top-tier winners, Robert and his fellow Chubb employees have become ten of New Jersey's newest multi-millionaires.

However, before they were winners, they were members of the Garden State's valued corporate community"”and they would like to get back to their daily lives at Chubb and continue their efforts on behalf of the company and the many persons it serves."
