INDIANAPOLIS "“ Hoosier Lottery officials are anxiously awaiting the arrival of the player holding a jackpot-winning ticket from Tuesday night's Mega Millions® drawing worth an estimated $91 million. This marks the first time a Mega Millions jackpot has been hit in Indiana since the Hoosier Lottery started selling the game on January 31, 2010.
The winning ticket, sold at grocer Strack & Van Til, located at 12 Ridge Road, in Munster matched all five numbers and the Megaball® in the February 1 drawing. Another winning ticket was also sold in Michigan. The winning numbers drawn are 16-22-23-26-35. The Megaball® number is 31 and the Megaplier® number is 4.
With two winning tickets sold, each ticket holder will receive half of the jackpot winnings. If taken as an annuity, each winner will receive $45,500,000. If the winner selects the cash option they will walk away with $28,450,000.
Players holding tickets from Tuesday's drawing are encouraged to check the numbers on their tickets carefully. Players holding winning tickets are also reminded to sign the back of their ticket immediately. Players have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes on Hoosier Lottery draw games.
As with all Hoosier Lottery games, the net income generated from Indiana sales of Mega Millions is transferred to the State. The Hoosier Lottery reminds all players to please play responsibly.
