LANSING, February 6, 2013 – One ticket from Tuesday night's Mega Millions drawing matched all six numbers of 02-05-10-26-44 and the Mega Ball is 46. That means that one player is waking up $19 million richer. Check your tickets, it could be you!
There is one catch…you would have had to purchase this ticket in the Upper Peninsula. And we're not talking just over the Mackinac Bridge; this ticket was sold in the extreme north on the Keweenaw Peninsula. The winning ticket was sold at the Festival Foods at 47401 Highway M26 in Houghton.
The winner must contact the Lottery's Public Relations Division at (517)373-1237 to set up an appointment to claim the prize.
Over 97 cents of every dollar spent on Lottery tickets is returned to the state in the form of contributions to the state School Aid Fund, prizes to players and commissions to retailers. In fiscal year 2012, the contribution to schools was a record $778.4 million. Since its inception in 1972, the Lottery has contributed over $17 billion to education in Michigan.
