#megamillions Jackpot won in Ohio, plus six $4 million winners!

The Mega Millions jackpot has been won for the third time this year as a lucky ticket-holder in Ohio will collect an estimated prize of $143 million ($84.6 million cash). The ticket matched all six numbers drawn Friday night – the white balls 4, 5, 10, 12 and 18, plus the gold Mega Ball 21.

The low numbers drawn on May 4 also triggered 12 Match 5 winning tickets – six of which included the optional Megaplier and are worth a whopping $4 million each! It's the largest number of multi-million Match 5 tickets ever won in a single Mega Millions drawing. The $4 million winning tickets were sold in Colorado, Florida, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Texas and Washington. Of the remaining six Match 5 winning tickets sold, four were in California and one each in New York and Ohio.

In total, there were 508,464 winning tickets in the May 4 drawing at all prize levels, including the jackpot winner. In this jackpot run, since March 30 more than 4.6 million winning tickets were sold at all prize levels, including 19 worth $1 million or more.

                               

The jackpot had been rolling since it was last won in New Jersey on March 30 at $533 million, the fourth largest Mega Millions jackpot in history. That followed a January 5 prize of $451 million won in Florida.

For the next drawing on Tuesday, May 8, the jackpot resets to its starting value of $40 million ($23 million cash).
