#megamillions Jackpot surges past $300 million for the 14th time!

For just the 14th time in almost 16 years, the Mega Millions jackpot has surpassed the $300 million mark! The estimated prize for the next drawing on Tuesday, March 13, will be $318 million ($187 million cash) – the 13th largest jackpot in the game's history. The jackpot continues to grow after no ticket matched all six numbers drawn Friday night – the white balls 7, 17, 18, 46 and 66, plus the gold Mega Ball 22.

Over the years, 17 jackpots have been won during the month of March. Of those, four have been worth at least $300 million, including the record Mega Millions prize of $656 million (March 30, 2012) and others in 2014, 2011 and 2007.

In total, Friday's drawing produced 695,527 winning tickets at all prize levels. Since the last jackpot was won on January 5, there have been almost 9.1 million winning tickets sold, including 23 worth $1 million or more.

   

The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on January 5 at $451 million; a 20-year-old Florida man claimed that prize as the trustee of Secret 007, LLC.
