#megamillions $3 million won in North Dakota; jackpot rolls to $187 million!

The Mega Millions jackpot is still growing, as no one matched all six numbers drawn Tuesday night – the white balls 17, 24, 27, 48 and 75, plus the Mega Ball 6. The estimated jackpot for Friday, May 20, is $187 million ($123 million cash).

Three tickets matched the five white balls to win second prizes in the drawing. Two won $1 million each, sold in Connecticut and Pennsylvania. The third included the optional Megaplier to win $3 million; this ticket was sold in North Dakota. It's that state's first Match 5 winner since the game was relaunched in October 2013 – what a big way to celebrate!

There were more than 1.6 million winning tickets sold for the May 17 drawing, with prizes totaling more than $8.5 million.

The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won in Washington on March 8.
