#megamillions Jackpot to $84 million; $2 million won in Michigan

For the 21st time this year, a lucky Match 5 winning ticket included the optional Megaplier (a $1 extra purchase available in most states). With the 2x Megaplier drawn Friday night, the ticket, sold in Michigan, is worth $2 million.

There were two other second prize winning tickets in the August 26 Mega Millions drawing, sold in California and Maryland. All three tickets matched the five white balls – 10, 11, 31, 41 and 44, missing only the gold Mega Ball of 14. Friday night's drawing produced almost 1.1 million other winning tickets at all prize levels.

Because no ticket matched all six numbers, the jackpot grows to $84 million ($58 million cash) for the next drawing on Tuesday, August 30. The prize has been rolling since it was last won on July 22.
