#megamillions $5 million won in Virginia; jackpot rolls to $59 million

A lucky ticket-holder in Virginia has won $5 million playing Mega Millions, matching the five white balls drawn Tuesday night – 2, 15, 26, 34 and 41 – and including the optional Megaplier to multiply the prize after the 5x Megaplier was drawn. Another Match 5 winning ticket, worth $1 million, was sold in Tennessee; it was that state's second Match 5 winner in three weeks. Had either ticket included the gold Mega Ball of 14, it would have won the estimated $51 million jackpot.

Instead, the jackpot rolls to an estimated $59 million ($35 million cash) for Friday night's drawing. The prize has been growing since it was last won in Georgia on November 18. The winner of that $83 million jackpot has yet to come forward.
